Club Med Cancún Partners to Host 2025 Americas Pickleball Cup
23 Nations to Compete in Continental Team Championship
December 16–20, 2025 | Cancún, Mexico
MEXICO, May 13, 2025 – Club Med Cancún has been officially selected to host the North and South America Pickleball Cup, a premier continental qualifier sanctioned by the Pickleball Federation of the Americas (PFA). From December 16 to 20, 2025, 22 nations will compete for the title of continental champion.
This landmark event highlights both Club Med’s longstanding commitment to high-performance sports programming and the PFA’s mission to elevate the competitive standards of pickleball throughout the region.
Following a multi-month evaluation process, Club Med Cancún was chosen for its exceptional facilities, proven organizational expertise, and unique blend of athletic infrastructure and all-inclusive hospitality. The resort’s selection reinforces its reputation as a premier venue for international sporting events.
“This is more than a tournament—it’s a celebration of how far pickleball has come across the Americas,” said Gary Schwartz, Chair and CEO of the PFA. “We’re proud to partner with Club Med, a brand that shares our values of excellence, community, and active living.”
The national tournament will feature two divisions—Under 50 and Over 50—allowing countries to field national teams across multiple age brackets. Events will include men’s and women’s singles, doubles, and mixed doubles, providing a comprehensive test of national team depth and strategy.
Concurrently, an OPEN tournament will take place, welcoming players across all age and skill brackets. Medals awarded in the OPEN division will also count toward each country’s national medal tally.
Adidas, a longtime supporter of Club Med sports initiatives, will serve as the event’s official sponsor. Their continued partnership underscores a shared commitment to advancing health, wellness, and the global sporting movement.
In 2024, Club Med reinforced its leadership in the active lifestyle space through its participation in the Adidas Split circuit—one of Mexico’s most prominent athletic series—with editions hosted in Mexico City, Guadalajara, and Monterrey. Hosting the Americas Pickleball Cup positions Mexico—and Club Med Cancún—as central players in the sport’s global rise, while delivering a world-class competition and immersive experience for athletes, fans, and guests alike.
