Confederation of African Pickleball Announces Historic Partnership with the Pickleball Cup

Accra, Ghana, December 23rd, 2024 – The Confederation of African Pickleball (CAP) is proud to announce a ground-breaking partnership with the Pickleball Cup, marking a significant milestone in the growth and global recognition of African pickleball. This collaboration paves the way for African teams to join the international stage, representing the continent in the prestigious Pickleball Cup tournaments and culminating in participation at the 2026 World Pickleball Cup.

The partnership is a testament to the incredible strides made by CAP in fostering pickleball across Africa and its commitment to elevating the sport to new heights. By joining forces with the Pickleball Cup, CAP aims to provide African players with unparalleled opportunities to compete internationally, showcase their talent, and foster cultural exchange within the global pickleball community.

CAP will use its already planned regional tournaments and continent-wide tournaments to select the best countries to participate in the Pickleball Cup. Key Objectives of the Partnership Include:

1. Global Representation: Enhancing Africa’s established role as a key player in the global pickleball arena.
2. Talent Development: Providing African players with access to competitive platforms and resources outside Africa.
3. Cultural Exchange: Promoting collaboration with other continents through sport.

Pickleball Cup has also committed to inclusivity by creating bursary programs to support travel and participation costs for emerging nations, ensuring that financial limitations do not hinder talented teams from competing.
