The Pickleball Cup and the National Collegiate Pickleball Association are now inviting universities, student-athletes, and national pickleball organizations to engage in the inaugural College Pickleball Cup cycle. As the initiative moves from concept to execution, the partners are opening formal conversations with collegiate programs and governing bodies around the world to establish qualification pathways, confirm national representation, and align on competitive standards. College teams interested in participating are encouraged to contact college@pickleballcup.com to discuss eligibility, selection processes, and next steps.
Interest in the College Pickleball Cup is expected to be strong from the outset, reflecting both the rapid growth of collegiate pickleball and the global appetite for a structured international championship. Noah Suemnick, CEO of the NCPA, emphasized that the inaugural edition will prioritize quality and sustainability over sheer scale. “The College Pickleball Cup is open, but at this stage we will only guarantee 64 team spots. That allows us to protect the competitive experience, manage logistics responsibly, and build a foundation that can scale year over year,” Suemnick said.
This measured approach reinforces the long-term vision of the College Pickleball Cup. By launching with a defined field and clear governance, the tournament establishes credibility with universities, national federations, and commercial partners alike. Over time, the structure is designed to expand alongside participation and fan demand, positioning the College Pickleball Cup as a durable global platform where collegiate athletes, campus communities, and national pride converge.
